Warren Richard Rasey, 73 years, of Erie, MI passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. The son of Warren and Mildred (Macut) Rasey he was born on August 4, 1952 in Toledo, OH.
Warren married Sharon Keough on June 24, 2006 at Compelled Church in Temperance, MI. Together, they made many memories especially on their trip to Alaska. He retired from the Ford Motor Company after 40 plus years of service. After retirement, Warren wanted to stay active working parttime as a professional driver for Groulx Automotive in Monroe, MI.
Warren was an avid outdoorsman. His love for camping, kayaking, archery, cooking out, snowmobiling, attending car shows, game dinners, hand crafting various hunting tools, caring and spoiling his dogs and cats throughout the years, starting fires to burn things, and feeding the birds in his yard was unmatched.
Warren took pride in his yard and spent much of his life on a riding lawnmower… by choice. His devotion to a denim overall and a handkerchief was something to admire. Warren wasn’t much of a gambler but he always had luck when it came to winning a raffle.
Warren loved to share his stories and life experiences. If he cornered you and had a story to tell, it was best that you cancelled any upcoming plans. “Long story short…”
Warren did love to talk and may have held up a person or two, but that was something that made him who he was. He was funny, knowledgeable, personable and open. He always wanted to share what he knew and what was new. Those stories now belong to the people he shared them with and we hope they don’t stop there.
Amongst so many things that made Warren who he was, Warren, was caring, giving, self-sacrificing, generous and open handed. If you needed something, he had you.
If you couldn’t return the gesture, it didn’t matter. He just wanted to help. Warren had endless skills and wisdom that he passed down to so many people in his life. Those gifts from him will be looked to by his family and friends for still so much time to come.
Warren is survived by his wife, Sharon; children, Brian (Lisa) Rasey and April (Jason Crispen) Rasey; grandchildren, Troy (Dominique) Licata and Anthony Licata; siblings, Evelyn (Tim) Truna and Don (Kathy) Rasey; mother-in-law, Verna Keough; step-children, Elizabeth (Mark Ahrens) Zapata, Philip Zapata and Sarah Russeau; in-laws, Sandra (Ken) Noaker, Steven (Sharon Zunk) Keough, Kathey Keough, Nancy Keough, Christine (Kenneth) Nycum; as well as many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law, Bryce Keough; step-son, Eric Zapata, step-grandson, Ethan Zapata and nephew, Thomas Rasey; in-laws, Darlene Keough and Ronald Keough.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Compelled Church 8970 Jackman Road Temperance, MI at 11:00 a.m. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave., Temperance, MI.
