William C. “”Billy”” Johnson, 61 years, of Toledo, OH passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015 in his home. A Union Steward for Jeep Corporation, he worked for 15 years in the shipping and receiving department. The son of Peter, Sr. and Nellie (Crouchman) Johnson he was born August 12, 1953 in Toledo. Also known as “”Bully”” and “”Big Bill”” he loved fishing, boating, horses, and cars. 

Billy helped his father run the Lazy Acres Horse Ranch in Temperance, assisting with horse shows and charity events. He was a member of UAW Local #12.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Pauline;  brothers, Peter Johnson, Jr. and Joe Crouchman.  He is survived by his sister, Nellie (James) Ramirez; brother, Michael (Sandy) Johnson; and many dear nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. in Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Avenue Temperance, MI where there will be visiting from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Memorial donations are preferred to the family.

William Ernest Johnson was born on  June 12, 1929 and passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 2, 2017. Loving husband to Joan (Kolinski) Johnson; father to Julie (Johnson) Czerniak, William Johnson and Robert Johnson; grandfather to Whitney Leathers, Kyle Leathers and Zachary Johnson. He is survived by his children; Julie and William; grandchildren, Whitney and Kyle.

An avid golfer, former semi-pro baseball player and college quarterback, William worked most of his adult life as an electrical engineer for Owens-Illinois in Toledo, OH.  Although he had his name attached to numerous patents, he will always be most appreciated and remembered as a solid and dependable provider to his family, something he did not benefit from in his youth. Thank You dad.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Ave Temperance, MI.
